In addition, ultrasound energy has a proven track record, with use in the field of medicine for more than 50 years.
It is a comfortable procedure. You may feel a warm prickly sensation beneath the skin when the ultrasound energy is being delivered into the targeted tissue, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Comfort levels vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the ultrasound energy is being delivered. Our team of professionals at AURA Clinic will take measures to make your experience as pleasant as possible.
There may be a slight redness that typically resolves within a few hours following the treatment. Some patients may have slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness to the touch but these are mild and temporary in nature.
The treatment can produce visible results for 12 – 18 months*, depending on the individual’s own collagen production. This process takes time, so results can become more apparent over two to three months post-treatment.
Most patients require only one treatment, but it will also depend on the degree of skin laxity, as well as the individual’s biological response to ultrasound energy and collagen-building process. Results after a single session can last up to a year. As skin continues to age, future touch-up treatments can help patients keep pace with the body’s natural ageing process.
